SNAPSHOTS from Thailand

SNAPSHOT #101

What do you see?

Saffron and rice,
beneath the banyan tree
Emerald in a sea of green,
ornate Mother of Pearl
of 108 pictures of stories told
on the sole of Buddha's feet,
stories of the wise,
from times ancient and old.

Emerald corrosion as cohesive as
the bronze upon its wake,
of fevered feelings inside the
temple with an ornate snake.

What do you see?
I don't know,
for you are not me.
What do I see?
A splendour of green,
a labour of love,
often measured by strife,
bringing forth the innate treasure
of a sacred, and spiritual life.

Hi lovers and wanderlusters

I’m sitting here sipping Green tea (well do I sip?) that sounds a bit too lady-like for me, so I guess I’m drinking green tea, while feeling somewhere stuck between two worlds.

The world that used to be real, and the world that is now a dream, or some type of dystopian future, or simply as it should be. Does that sentence even make sense? I think not.

Who has read the book ‘The Talisman’ ~ Stephen King & Peter Straub? Let me know in the comments below.

If you have then you’ll understand the concept of parallel worlds, and dreams being our reality, and our reality being a dream. Which one are we living in now? I have no fucking idea, I just know I’m somewhere between this world, and that, and who knows what the End Game will be.

It could be a game changer or game over! Time will tell, but let’s not rest on our laurels. Stay alert. Stay informed, and stay awake.

….In the meantime, enjoy some scribblings 🙂

Taken from A Collection of Poetry: A Wyld Love Note

I’m sitting on a park bench looking out to sea when I glance a tin dingy buried heavy into the mangroves, overgrown by grass and looking like its expiry date was long past.  I took to pen and paper and began to write, and the following was what turned up on the page.

The very next day, I visited the same park and the tin dingy wasn’t there, as though it never existed. I wonder did it exist?  I know what I saw inspired me to write the ‘Broken Canoe’ and I wonder if giving the tin dingy some life is all it needed to leave the tangled marsh and rebirth it somewhere new.

These are my random ‘muse-lings’ this word does not exist.  I made it up 🙂

BROKEN CANOE

The broken canoe
Sits alone
Harboured by the old ravished mangroves,
Entangled into the vessel
That once was home,
To the bay,
Soft coloured sky of grey,
Rocking its life,
Back into the new,
Of a time when tales
at sea were true.

The broken canoe,
Abandoned,
Ripped inside the seams of grass,
That hold and pull,
Drawing down into the earth,
Trapped,
Broken and torn,
Weathered storms,
have changed its form
Once belonging to the sea,
Holding passengers that were free,
As they searched for life,
Rowing forward,
Forward and forward,
Rocking into waters,
Into Mother Nature,
and her daughters.

Its purpose all encompassing,
Not quite as magnificent
as the ship to shore,
But less is often more,
Its timber carved with intricate design
Of the indigenous artisans,
Who blessed it with love
For all that made the journey into the
heart of the kind.

The broken canoe,
Earth bound,
To nothing new,
adventurous or free,
Digs itself deeper,
Like the roots of the nearby tree,
Its ancestry lost,
Unnoticed,
Unloved and forgot,
Its timber slowly cracking
into a slow painful rot.

Now an artistic masterpiece,
The water coloured painting
Admired by many,
Not just a few,
brings life back to the broken canoe.

THE MUSIC

Time claps
At the hands
Of an ace upon the stack
Of lack,
Being born and torn,
Into a number
An aggregate of foregoing’s
That permeate,
And irritate,
Between the houses,
Far beyond the sea,
I’m sure we’ll dance to the music,
That only belongs to you and me.

Psst… All content in one place ~ Why?

Hey lovers and wanderlusters,

It’s been busy, busy over at the Wyld And Untamed headquarters.

Image: Wyld Photography

And here’s one of the reasons why? You maybe following me on social media, let’s face it, I’m everywhere, but NOT all my content is.

I’ve had my entire VIMEO account banned and all videos and thousands upon thousands of views and comments all removed. Many of my posts on Instagram and TikTok are taken down without explanation and I always abide by the guidelines. Go figure…

I guess many people don’t like ‘Body Positivity, sensuality and being comfortable in your own skin.

However, none of that is going to stop me, and never will. I’m a creative, and talented aRtist with many, many passions that cover a diverse range of things, and I’m absofuckinglutely sure there is something on this website for everyone.

SO…I’ve been working hard on revamping my website because I will be bringing EVERYTHING over here. If you don’t want to follow me on other social media platforms all you need to do is come straight to ‘The Wyld And Untamed’ website and over time you will find all the content you need. Choose your poison 😜

IN OTHER NEWS

Besides the fact that ‘The Wyld Sessions’ is about to drop. I can barely contain my excitement. 😜I wrote about sharing a little secret here

Then some more info here

And the one promo that kicked it all off with even more insight into the project, is here

Renewal

Hey lovers and wanderlusters,

While this website is currently undergoing some major changes, I figured there is still no reason not to blog in the meantime, and keep you in the loop. I will be combining all three websites to just one, this ONE, so yay, I’m glad you’re here 🙂 More on that later…

So, now to the writing. Grab yourself a cuppa or beverage of your choice and sit back and enjoy. All feedback welcome 🙂

From my collection of poetry, A Wyld Love Note,

RENEWAL

What’s mine is mine
because what was yours you took without a care or a look.

Have a laugh and watch the fall,
Oh, the cliche of it all,
of love,
hearts,
and sunken ships of broken bones,
and jagged hips,
the torn up kiss,
from the bloodied lips.

Life will never be the same,
it’s not supposed to be,
re-invention of who we are is nothing new to me,
and as I delete your last frame,
I’ve already forgotten your fucking name.’

THE BRIDGE

I want to jump off a bridge,
‘The bridge is too high’, they said
But what you don’t understand is, ‘I want to die, and be forever dead’.

It’s cold where I stand,
the breeze falls upon my shoulder,
it’s high up here, and I wonder where will I land,
Is it there?
where the concrete is stark and bare,
Or here?
where the graveyard meets the lair,
Perhaps over there?
where the grass is greener,
it’s always greener over there,
but really, do I care?
so long as I close my eyes, and open them in the neverwhere.

How long have I been standing here?
Waiting,
Waiting,
Just waiting,
For a car to come,
A person to run,
My phone to ring,
A bird to sing,
Waiting for courage
amidst the flourish of the naysayers, and self-righteous beggars of the thief,
who wouldn’t understand why a caterpillar needs a leaf.

I shake from the cold
my clothes barely cover the scars of my attempted fold,
of skin over skin,
and the horrid laughing, and ridicule from within.

The layers of dark
now leave me
with mo more verbal attack,
and no light to draw me back,
Alone,
Alone,
shaking with fear on a bridge too high,
from where I will jump,
and find the courage to die.’

Forgotten Feather

The bridge between us cannot last,
for I have cast
all hate and ridicule
down the mast of obvious denial,
setting my heart on trial.
I want to hate you, I truly do,
the things you’ve said and done can never be forgotten,
the harm,
the pain inflicted is vile and rotten.

But you lie in your bed made of untruths,
in an awkward disposition,
mangled and torn,
hurting and hating on the one who loved you,
deeply, truly, madly,
Yes, you are right mon amour,
it can’t be undone
the blackness of hate,
vile words spoken,
showing a deeper truth,
your love was merely a token,
nothing deeper or meaningful,
like I had believed,
I know you are relieved,
your final words pushed me away forever,
And even though the bridge between us can’t last,
our love was butchered at the hands of your fury,
so now we stand at the precipice gazing at one another,
Silently longing,
Silently holding on to a forgotten feather,
that once held us together.
